Job Description

The role includes

• Designing and performing experimental studies;
• Development and test of advanced techniques for electronic/photoelectronics/thermal measurements;
• Design, development and tests of novel 2D Materials-based devices;
• Working in close collaboration with several large networks;
• Communication with industrial and metrological communities;
• Exploring existing and building up new collaborative networks in the international research community;
• Presentation of research results in peer-reviewed journals and at international conferences.

A successful candidate should demonstrate experience and knowledge in the multidisciplinary research area, including

• Excellent knowledge of various electrical/optical/thermal modes of scanning probe techniques operational on the nanoscale level;
• Significant previous experience in the area of graphene and 2D materials, e.g. operation of nanodevices made of these materials;
• Experience in transport measurements and development of own measurement setups;
• Good level of programming skills (e.g. LabView);
• Proven collaborative activities;
• Ability to manage scientific and metrological activity on the level of individual tasks;
• The previous research record should be confirmed by relevant publications.

Experience required

• A PhD in physics or relevant disciplines;
• Understanding and enthusiasm in fundamental and applied research;
• Excellent problem-solving, with a record in innovative research;
• Strong communication and presentation skills;
• Ability to manage own time and to work as part of an interdisciplinary project team.
